New Version of pugglebaby.com!

After 10 years of using a very dated looking content management system, I finally dove in and started fiddling with Wordpress.  Having been a reputable Puggle breeder for many years, using the same system, and having almost no coding skills, this was a daunting task.

Check out the new and hopefully improved www.pugglebaby.com if you're looking for Puggle puppies for sale.  Or if you're funny pictures of me or my farm animals.

Puggle Puppy Training Tips

Just a few tips on training your new puggle puppy.

Ever been over to somebody's house and had their puppy jump all over you the minute you walk in the door?  It's very annoying, especially if the dog is making your clothes dirty.

To avoid this, always make sure your puggle puppy's four paws are always on the ground when you pet them.  It's more difficult than letting the puppy "stand" up on two legs, because you have to stoop down, but it really pays off in the long run.  By petting them with all four on the ground, the puppy feels reward for this and will have no reason to jump.  None of our puggles jump up on people, ever.

Puppies vs. Kids

It's pretty simple.

When considering a new puppy in your home, and you have children. . .

you should be more concerned with the children being harmful to the puppy than the puppy being harmful to the children.

Pugglebaby.com. . . Home raised pups for a better pet!: About Puggles

From PuggleBaby.com, some information about puggles and children.

Pugglebaby.com. . . Home raised pups for a better pet!: About Puggles:

"Are Puggles good with Children?
Of course there is no way to predict an individual dogs temperment. However, Puggles are bred specifically to be a companion animal--- a family pet. I tell all famlies with children (especially young children), that are considering purchasing or adopting ANY BREED OF DOG, the key is SUPERVISION.

You MUST, MUST, MUST supervise your children and the puppy/dog at all times. This is for the safety of the puppy, as well as your children. Young children can accidentally play to rough with a puppy, step on a puppy hard, pick up a puppy and drop it, squeeze it hard enough to break ribs, etc.. All of these things can cause serious injury or even DEATH to a puppy. So the puppy is actually at most risk, because I think it would be nearly impossible for a Puggle puppy to cause too much damage to a child.

ALL PUPPIES play rough at times. All puppies need to be taught not to jump up and scratch people. All puppies need to be taught not to nibble, nip, bite, or chew on things--including people. This is NORMAL behavior, and why children and puppies should be supervised AT ALL TIMES."
